SERVICES ON THE ESTATE

GARDENS

All flat, maisonette, and townhouse owners are required to pay towards the upkeep of the gardens.  The Ground Maintenance Charge is collected on behalf of APRA by the managing agent of the estate, Philip Simmons, of Sadlers, 226 High Street, Barnet, EN5 5TD.   Tel:  020 8449 1061.

RUBBISH

Rubbish is collected every Wednesday; the black bin and recycling bins are collected on alternate weeks.

Townhouse dwellers are asked to ensure that all their domestic rubbish is put in the black wheelie bin, which should be left at the front boundary of your property on collection day.

The council also collect items from townhouses for recycling.  You should have; one box for paper, one box for plastic bottles & metal cans, and one for glass bottles and jars.  Please note that if the items are mixed up in one bin they will not be taken!  The green wheelie bins are for compostable waste.  All of these are emptied fortnightly on a Wednesday when left at the front kerb of your property.  Please go to recyclingforapremier.com for more details including the collection dates for your area.

If you need any more boxes please contact the council at clientservices@stalbans.gov.uk

Flat and maisonette residents have large wheely bins supplied for their use which are located in the wooden structures on the London Road side of North block and on the other side of South block. Please ensure that any rubbish put in these is well bagged so they don't become full of loose rubbish. Only domestic rubbish should be put in there; other items dumped in there will be treated by the council as fly tipping and they will pursue offenders with a view to prosecution. There is on-site recycling for glass, plastic bottles, paper and cans by the garages at the south end of the estate in front of the garages. There is an additional recycling point at the side of the shops at Whitecroft with additional space here for most other recycling (including glass, metal cans, plastic bottles). This does not include Tetra Paks (for example, juice cartons), which can be taken to the Morrisons supermarket car park.
